The Calm Privacy Guarantee: LaunchWizard was built for developers who care about code privacy. We do not track, collect, upload, or sell your source code, files, or environment secrets. Everything runs locally on your machine.

1. Zero Remote Code Transmission

LaunchWizard performs non-destructive pre-flight compiler dry runs (tsc --noEmit, AST inspections, framework bundle checks) strictly locally within your editor process.

No part of your source code, components, file names, or project contents is ever sent to any remote server, analytics provider, or third-party cloud endpoint.

2. Environment Secrets & Configuration Safety

When LaunchWizard audits your workspace for missing environment variables or client-side secret exposure (such as verifying NEXT_PUBLIC_ prefixes), all checks occur entirely in-memory on your local CPU.

  • We never read secret values into external network packets.
  • We do not record, store, or transmit your .env file contents.
  • All auto-heals are applied directly to local files on your disk with in-memory rollback snapshots.

3. Public Preview Tunnels (Cloudflare Quick Tunnels)

When you explicitly choose to launch an instant shareable link, LaunchWizard spawns a local cloudflared sub-process connecting your designated local dev port to Cloudflare's public Quick Tunnel infrastructure (trycloudflare.com).

  • Encrypted Transport: Tunnels are protected with Cloudflare SSL/TLS encryption.
  • Direct Routing: Network packets flow directly between Cloudflare's edge network and your local machine. LaunchWizard does not operate intermediate logging servers or proxy interception.
  • User Control: Tunnels can be stopped instantly at any time via the 1-click "Stop Tunnel" button in the extension or webview deck.

4. License Validation & Payments

If you purchase LaunchWizard Pro Lifetime ($9.99 One-Time), your transaction is processed securely through Gumroad. We do not store or process your credit card numbers or financial details.

  • Offline Cryptographic Verification: Pro licenses can be validated completely offline on your computer using cryptographic HMAC signatures without needing an internet connection.
  • Online Gumroad Verification: If validated online, only your license key string is sent to Gumroad's official API (api.gumroad.com) to verify validity. No device telemetry, workspace metadata, or code statistics are transmitted.
  • Device Activation: Your license allows activation on up to three (3) personal developer machines.

5. Third-Party Integrations

LaunchWizard integrates with minimal, industry-standard developer platforms:

  • Gumroad: Payment processing and license key issuance. (Gumroad Privacy Policy)
  • Cloudflare: Edge tunnel infrastructure and documentation hosting. (Cloudflare Privacy Policy)
  • VS Code / Cursor / Open VSX Marketplace: Extension distribution platforms.

6. Data Retention & User Rights

Because LaunchWizard collects zero telemetry and retains zero server-side databases of your personal coding sessions, there is no personal user profile to delete or export. You have complete sovereignty over your local editor and codebase.
